Does anyone know of a DVD video out there that is like this? If not, I am interested in making one to help our 7 year-old son; he could GREATLY benefit from this. We have a friend who is a professional camerman and would film it for free. However, would be looking for others who would like to help an dhave their own children be in the video. Of course, if there is laready something out there, then that would be even easier. Thanks for anyonbe who can help!

In going to the dentist this week I found that not all polishes are gluten free.

I first became aware of this issue from a Living Without magazine article. I found an article in Living Without magazine (Oct/Nov 2008) that named the following as gluten free:
denti-care by Medicom,
enamel pro, glitter and ziroxide by Premier Dental Products,
Kolorz by Zenith,
Nada Pumice by Preventech,
Nupro by Dentsply Professional,
Sparkle-Free by Crosstex Intl, and
Uni-Pro by Henry Schein, Inc.

A search for gluten-free on Dental Products Report .com (June 2009) came up with the following(polishes, anesthetics, etc):
ZapFlouride gel
GumNumb Topical Anesthetic
Kolorz Hygiene Products
ProFlouride Varnish
Blu-Bite + products
Sparkle-Free Prophy Paste

When I called the company that manufactures the brand my dentist uses-Perfect Choice Prophy Gems- I was told gluten was not an ingredient, but they were not certified gluten free and did not know about the status of the ingredients they use. (hat was the same thing they had told my dentist and they had passed on to me), I shared with them that "gluten" is rarely listed as an ingredient. It would be called something else. When I spoke to the dentist, she said that if they contacted any other company, they would be told the same. I explained that in fact other types were considered gluten-free. Since they only carried the one brand of polish, she said I could bring toothpaste from home and that they would use. It would not be as abrasive, but it would be OK.

I did not know you could do that, but it was a nice compromise. I typed them a list of gluten free products with the suggestion that they could stock one just for that handful of gluten-free patients. Who knows if they will, but they were congenial.

BTW, the company said the same for soy. They did not know if they were soy-free or not. I didn't search that side as much.
Hope this helps others.
